The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists employing Raman spectroscopy to study geological systems in a broad range of areas, examples of which include: mineralogy, petrology, archaeometry, astrobiology, fossils and forensics.
There will be an active social program, a mid-week field trip to the Blue Mountains and the Jenolan Caves, and the week will be capped off with a conference dinner at one of Sydney's iconic venues.
